The backup was created on an n-class 500/300, using turbostore with DLT8000's
>> TURBO-STORE/RESTORE VERSION C.75.02 B5152AA <<

I am now trying to restore to an n-class 750/400 using turbostore with DLT8000's
>> TURBO-STORE/RESTORE VERSION C.75.08 B5152AA <<

One would think this would work and the turbo store would be backward compatible,... however

There are two tapes that were created in parallel.

when the restore is attempted, these message go to the console

11:16/#J3/55/FILES OF STORE SET 0 WILL BE RESTORED WHEN A DRIVE BECOMES FREE

What store set 0?

Here is the command to create the backup tape

!FILE SEQ1;DEV=26
!FILE SEQ2;DEV=28
!STORE @[log in to unmask]@[log in to unmask]@[log in to unmask]@.test2;; &
!STORESET=(*SEQ1),(*SEQ2)&
!;LOGVOLSET=TEST_VOL; &
!DIRECTORY;SHOW;ONLINE=END;PROGRESS;STATISTICS;MAXTAPEBUF;&
!COMPRESS=HIGH;PARTIALDB; &
!ONVS=MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET,MAC_ITM,MAC_ORD,MAC_PUB

I am also getting numerous...

FAILED TO RECOVER PORTIONS OF COMPRESSED DATA

I have tried several different backup tapes, so it is not a tape issue.

Any thoughts? Denys?

-Craig
