After the loss of several thousand consumer profiles held by ChoicePoint
last month, privacy has once again come into the spotlight. Shortly after
the identity thefts at ChoicePoint, LexisNexis reported an incident that put
32,000 consumers at risk. This was followed by Bank of America reporting
the theft of sensitive data affecting 1.2 million government employees.

Is privacy just a myth? Join us this Thursday for a discussion on privacy
sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society. This luncheon meeting is scheduled
