Greg,
Suppose you have got the latest version of LZW from Telamon/VYTek (A.03.54).
If your concern is re. restore of data to other groups/accounts than the
original ones, LZW has full built-in support for this - at least for the
latest version AFAIK. Isn't it like :STORE et al. You cannot prevent :STORE
from storing the full path to the files.
- A nifty feature we use: If you add PM capability to the LZW-program, it
will handle Image databases and other PRIV files as well.
Yes, it's a very useful program. Thanks to whoever ported it (anyone
remembers?)
Mange hilsner / With kind regards
Hans-Ole

Subject: LZW and MPE names
I'm testing compressing files with LZW before ftping, to fit the ftp within
a tight window. And while the results are impressive (nineteen minutes to
send uncompressed, versus four to compress, send, and decompress), one thing
escapes me. I do not see how to prevent LZW in batch from using the group
and account names for the compresses files. Or conversely, to get them
archived without the group and account in their names.
