Hey Tracy,
>> Can anyone name this error and the configuration fix?
** NETXPORT TCP : PACKET DISCARD; Checksum error
- Loc: 12002; Class: 3; Parm= $879B2000; PortID: $87F5FCA0
This is an indication of a link hardware problem. TCP Checksum is decoded
and does not match the checksum on the inbound TCP packet. Data corruption
has been identified and the packet is discarded.
Note: The CRC at the link level (seen with linkcontrol @;status=all) is not
sufficient to catch some cases of data corruption, depending on where the
corruption was introduced.
A configuration fix? <sarcasm bit enabled> Well, ewwwww... I guess you
could turn of TCP Checksum if you really did not mind data corruption.
<sarcasm bit disabled>
If this problem persists, it probably would be a good idea to give those
folks at the Response Center who troubleshoot this for a living a call.

James Hofmeister
