You can issue a 'RECALL' command to see if there are any pending tape
requests.
You can issue a 'showdev tape' to see if the tape drive is 'owned' by the
back up job.
You can issue a 'showout job=#Jnnnn' (where 'nnnn' is the job number of
the back up job) to see the spool file ID of the job's $stdlist (sysout).
Then invoke the 'spiff' utility, text in the 'DFID' number from the
'showout' command, issue a 'list all' command to see the $stdlist (exit to
terminate) See example below.
