Please ignore my previous post as I've found the problem. The HOSTS.NET.SYS file contained the 1st boxes name instead of it's own.

> Have just configured Samba 2.2.8a on our 2nd (new to us) HP979. The smb.conf file being used is a copy of the 2.0.7 version that resides on our 1st HP979 (only changed the interface address). From Win2K I can see both machines (HP979 and HP979-2) in 'My Network Places'. The comment text shows that they are really different.

> I can map a network drive on HP979-2 (at least is says I have) but when I look at the contents its the same as the HP979 drive and I know they are different. Am also unable to run SWAT against HP979-2. For SWAT on the 1st box I use http://hp979:901/ so used http://hp979-2:901/ (seemed logical to me) to try and access the 2nd box. IE comes back with a 'Cannot find server' message.
