Could you post the results of a RESTORE ;;LISTDIR ?
For it to be 20 years old it would have been a very early
MPE/XL version (even STORE/RESTORE only says 'copyright 1986')
that wrote this tape.
What can you tell us about these files ? anything special about
them ? I noticed the names all end with a '91' .
The only problem I remember about forward compatibility with
STORE & RESTORE was between 5.0 and 5.5 and had to do with
RESTORE-ing spoolfiles (IIRC).
