First Lady of Tennessee Andrea Conte has launched
this statewide initiative to raise awareness
about child sexual abuse and to raise much needed
funds for Children's Advocacy Centers and You
Have the PowerŠKnow How to Use It. These programs
provide education, counseling and related
services for child abuse victims.
The Eastern Tennessee leg of AndreaWalks starts
in Chattanooga on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 and
the Chattanooga leg will continue through
Thursday, February 24, 2005, ending in Cleveland,
TN - approximately 30 miles. Each day begins at 9
a.m. and ends approximately at 2 p.m.
Registered walkers may walk a segment - whether
one mile, five miles, ten miles - or the entire
30 miles. Shuttles will be available to return
walkers to their cars, with ample parking at each
starting location and several water and restroom
breaks along the way.
You may obtain a brochure from University
Relations for an entry form. You may also
register at www.andreawalks.com, or the day of
the walk between 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. For any
additional questions please contact Shelley
McGraw at (423) 266-6918 or [log in to unmask]
