According to Security/3000 help:

LOG20.DATA.VESOFT file, report on a copy of it:

users like to make a COPY of the log file before clearing it. If you do
this, you can still use LISTLOG to generate reports on the copy by issuing
the :FILE-equation before running LOGON,LISTLOG:

   :FILE LOG20.DATA.VESOFT=mylogfilename

where "mylogfilename" is the name of the log file you wish to report on.
For security reasons, this :FILE-equation will only be honored if you have
SM capability.

Hope this will help !
