More about the author:

David Magee is a non-fiction author with a passion for writing untold
stories. His book Turnaround (HarperCollins; January 2003), about the
remarkable leadership of Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn, is published in six
languages and has sold almost 100,000 copies worldwide.

In 2004, Magee had two books published: Ford Tough (Wiley; October 2004)
and Getting Published (Jefferson Press; July 2004). Ford Tough explores
how Bill Ford Jr. has led the Ford Motor Company through its passage in
time. Getting Published is a blend of memoir and how-to that tells
aspiring authors how to learn and master the business of writing. The
John Deere Way and Endurance: The Phil Mickelson Way will be released
this spring. Learn more at: www.david-magee.com.

A former newspaper editor, columnist, freelance writer, business owner
and small town politician (he became the youngest ever elected member of
the city council in Oxford, Mississippi in 1996) David was named one of
Mississippi's top business leaders under the age of 40 in 1998. He
decided on a leap of faith in 1999 to write full-time, a move he has
never regretted. His work has been featured in dozens of national and
international publications including the Wall Street Journal, The New
York Times, the Boston Globe, the Orlando Sentinel and Kiplinger's
Personal Finance and he has been a guest on Bloomberg TV, the Discovery
Channel and Mississippi Public Television.

David is also the owner of Jefferson Press, a publishing company founded
on the values of writing and literature in Oxford, the small college
town in the hills of north Mississippi that is the home of William
Faulkner, Larry Brown, Tom Franklin and more than a dozen other noted
authors. He now lives on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee with his wife and
three children.
