At the next CWG meeting, author/publisher David Magee will discuss how
he got his start as a writer and how he started his publishing company,
Jefferson Press. This will be a great event for anyone interested in
writing or publishing - please encourage your students to attend.

More about the author:



David Magee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University
of Mississippi and has worked as a writer and editor in Jackson and
Oxford, Mississippi.  He is the author of "Turnaround", a book focused
on the remarkable leadership of Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn.  "Turnaround"
is published in six languages and has sold almost 100,000 copies
worldwide.  His most recently published book is "Ford Tough", which
investigates how Bill Ford, Jr. has led the Ford Motor Company through
its passage in time.  Magee's newest book, "The John Deere Way", will be
released this year.   Magee's work has been featured in dozens of
national and international publications, including the Wall Street
Journal, The New York Times, the Boston Globe, and the Orlando Sentinel.
In 2002, Magee launched his own publishing company, Jefferson Press -
the company is based in Chattanooga, TN where Magee lives with his
family.
