My favorite editor is "Programmer Studio" from Whisper Technology,
it's awesome and versatile but it's not free. For a free editor
you should try "ConTEXT" by Eden Kirin. It's very good too and highly
configurable for many languages and uses.

Both are full screen, but not like Qedit. They're more like a word
processing program such as MS Word.
