I've been following this with some amusement.

I think you mean precognitive. Being clairvoyant is nice, but not nearly
as nice as precognition!

It's too bad I just started contributing to the list now. I'd much rather
talk about HP3000-related stuff or perl. I'd even prefer COBOL (yick!).

Not that anyone cares, but:

Facts and science > Faith > George Bush (who appreciates nothing of science
or facts which are probably slightly too inconvenient for things like
running the country on intuition and faith).

Maybe we ought to elect someome King instead? He was, after all, King of
Texas, wasn't he?

Whether Kerry is a man of science is something I question, but at least he
understands the word "diplomacy." I am not anti-religious (ok, I'm averse
to it), but I cannot really stand zealots, and I believe that George Bush
is something of a zealot, as I believe most right-wing born-again
Christians are. I don't see the difference between invading Iraq and
killing a bunch of people in the name of God and "Freedom" (capital F
please!) and smashing airplanes into buildings in the name of Allah.

The day I see an intellectual in the office of the President is probably
the day pigs will grow wings and fly. One can, however, hope.

By the way, none of this represents anything about my employer, its
employees, yada, yada, yada. This is all my own personal opinion, which I
will probably share for the last time on this list. I'd really rather keep
it to the sad future of the HP3000 and MPE.

Just a side note to the above question...

I believe God is always talking to me. I also believe
I don't always listen to what is being said.
