Terry,

It seems that leaving logging enabled is the best solution unless there is
some reason you really need to stop logging.  The only records which get
logged are those with update or change the database so user with mode 1
need to have logging enabled.  If you have production program which run
reports and the like of the daily processing and access the databases with
mode 5 these process would not have any logging overhead.

I'm not sure if this answers your question if you had others please opend a
