Effective October 1st, the following new services and changes have been
launched on the Library's Electronic Databases page at
http://www.lib.utc.edu/databases:

ECONLIBRARY.COM
This newly available database in Economics features an index to articles
from over 500 leading journals of economics, business, finance, and
accounting.

To view this new database, go to http://www.lib.utc.edu/databases, and

ERIC
On September 1st, the U.S. Department of Education launched a revamped ERIC
website featuring an improved search interface and personalization features.
Today, October 1st, full-text, non-journal ERIC resources became freely
available through this website. These materials include more than 105,000
full-text documents authorized for electronic ERIC distribution during 1993
- July 2004, previously sold through the ERIC Document Reproduction Service
(EDRS).

To view this enhanced database, go to http://www.lib.utc.edu/databases, and
select "ERIC (free access: U.S. Dept. of Ed.)" or click on the Education
category. Full-text links to non-journal ERIC resources will continue to be
available in another interface: "ERIC (UTC Users: SilverPlatter search
engine)."

DISSERTATION ABSTRACTS ONLINE
Dissertation Abstracts Online (DAO) is now available through a new
interface: OCLC FirstSearch. With this change, there will no longer be any
limits on the number of users who can access DAO simultaneously. External
links are now also available from DAO citations to the Library's Online
Catalog, Full Text Journal Finder, and ILLiad InterLibrary Loan web service.

To view this database, go to http://www.lib.utc.edu/databases, and select
"Dissertation Abstracts Online" or click on the Conferences & Dissertations
category.

DIGITAL DISSERTATIONS
Digital Dissertations, a free resource, has been added to the Library's list
of "Conferences and Dissertations" databases. This resource allows users to
search citations and abstracts of dissertations published within the last
two years, and in many cases, view 24-page PDF previews.

To view this database, go to http://www.lib.utc.edu/databases, and select
"Digital Dissertations" or click on the Conferences & Dissertations
category.
