Greetings to the -L,

I have a spoolfile that has been copied to a directory in the HFS domain. If I access this file from a PC via a Samba share I find that the CCTL codes (first byte of each record) have been dropped. The program that reads this file requires the CCTL code to see where it is in the 'page'. We are having to move to using Samba as the FTP capability will soon be removed from the PC.

Is there a configuration option in Samba that will prevent it from doing this OR is it a feature of the MPE port?

Environment:

HPe3000 = MPE/iX 6.5 + all reactive patches.
Samba = 2.0.7 (due for upgrade to 2.2.8a).
PC = Windows 2000.

regards,
