Tape ejects after Store operation

Dear All,
 
I am trying to use one of these drives in HP 3000 MODEL 996/100 :-
 
C1537-00485
C1537-10485
C1537-20485
 
In SYSGEN, I have tried with IDs HP1504B &  HP1537A
 
I am able to configure and Store files on these drives, but after every
STORE operation, 
the tape is ejected which is not as per requirement.
 
I have used the command 
 
DEVCTRL.MPEXL.TELESUP DEV=7 EJECT=DISABLE LOAD=ONLINE
 
Even after using this command, I get the same problem of EJECT.
 
Can anyone help me in this ?
