To answer my own question, I went to www.ericom.com and I am running the
evaluation right now. It seems to be java based BUT, it's not as nasty as
most java apps I have run in the past. The requirements are Red Hat
something.something but the installer run perfectly on my Debian Unstable
system. It seems to install the JRE automatically because I'm pretty sure I
don't have Java setup properly on this machine. So far, I'd say this is the
best HP3000 terminal emulator I have use on Linux to date. Price isn't bad
either, $89 US.
