Maybe you can try using STEXPORT.....that is pretty simple...but you
need the i/p file to be self describing....

I am continually deluged with users asking "can you send me that report

Excel?".  Well, I can, but not without getting involved in converting
it.
I believe I remember from a former life that there are products that
will
run from the HP3000 to do just that.  Can someone suggest such a product
or
