Actually It's not Java-based. It's C++ (gcc) using Qt. It's the
installation program (Zero G) that uses Java, and thus may install the
JRE. Avoiding Java has numerous advantages:
1. More responsive.
2. Less hefty
3. Faster load
4. Better keyboard support
An added advantage is that it's based on the same source code used in
the Windows version (which has been selling for a decade).
