I checked at www.portlandtribune.com, but as of a few minutes ago, it
was still yesterday's news, I think. I don't really know what's
happening in Oregon these days. :-)

I trust you will notify the list if and when...

Denys

Hi Tracy :)
Yah... the phone number helped ... and the main angle of the article
is
how Bush Supporters are being treated in "Oregon in General and Portland
in
Particular"... so calling the local area was of interest... and Craig
might
just get the call to... if she tracks him down since he is in the "area"
sorta? (well... he is in the 'Valley')

An interesting side note... she was willing to be educated on what
the
HP 3000 was!

As for the "I fee Lucky" I don't think so... because she did have
questions about the listserv and was surprized when I told her it had
been
around for so long... and that I had belonged basically since oh Mid
90's... yeah yeah... I be a young'un!

The issue is there seems to be a lot of Bush supporters being
treated
to 'tongue-lashings' just because they don't support the other person's
candidate... rather than accepting that not everyone of 400,000+ people
in
Portland are going to agree... also, we discussed the fact that the
polls
here in Oregon don't agree... some put Kerry at 52 or so percent and
others
put it as a dead heat...

All this was done on lunch time of course... in keeping with Policy
:)

Art,

It probably helped that your phone number is always on your signature
line.

AND your signature line is also probably one of the few in THEIR local
calling area.
(Does it lend credence to the thought that newspapers are cheapskates?)

So did they really notice? Or did they just hit the "I Feel Lucky"
button?
