Not necessarily. The same log process can be used to handle multiple
databases.

Not exactly.

The  number of users per logging process must be greater than the maximum
number of concurrent dbopen modes 1 thru 4 that are associated with a given
logging process.

So, if a log process is associated with, say, 5 data bases, at a given
point in time this log process can have no more than that number of total
concurrent active dbpoens (modes 1 thru 4).

Keep in mind that a single user running a single program can open one or
more databases each than once in open modes 1 thru 4.

In your example above, you would need the max. number of users per logging
process to be at least  1490 ((64x10) + 850).

No. You should set them large.
