Actually this patch was created to address security issues. MPE did not have a method to 
display a warning prior to the actual logon attempt (see below). Some shops also us it to 
dynamically change the message to reflect the status of the system, Down for backup, 
Maintenance in progress, and so forth. 

Beechglen has created this and many other MPE patches over the past 16 years. If you are
