Cables are CAT5e and the office in question, as the crow flies is near
100
ft.
As the wire travels, it may be more like 110-120 ft. Duplex is full on
most
devices ... most of the printers and the HP3000 say they are half
duplex.
There are two DTCs connect to the network via thin coax to a hub. There
are
two hubs and two switches. The Internet and the HP3000 are connected via
a
switch. A very long long ways out to the shop, there are two saws
connected
so we can send optimizer data out to them. The PCs are XP, ME, 98 and
the
two saws are 3.11. There are 4 network printers connected via jetdirect
boxes
and a Canon copier directly connected to the network and a Tally printer
directly connected. Some other printers connected via DTC. The saws out
back
are probably 200-300 feet away from the computer room. I have a switch
halfway out, with the two saws connected to the switch. Thats all I can
think
of  for now.
