Quick, what is the difference between John Kerry and Zell Miller, Mitch
McConnell and Orin Hatch?

Bzzzttt Time's up.

Child John Kerry is the only one running for president and thus is
having his leadership capabilities questioned and examined.

Thank you for playing. Better luck next time.

Denys

My first response was lost in the Ether (where it probably belongs:)

Denys writes:

Welcome to the world of willful ignorance. Of course, Denys could have
spent 30 seconds at http://thomas.loc.gov to debunk his own myth, but
that might have forced him to alter his statement. Why base your
opinion on facts when assumptions can suffice?

and Kevin Smeltzer adds:
> Wow, so many bills sponsored by John Kerry. I had to check the

<ahem>Nonsense</ahem>

Perhaps we can take a look at some other Senator's sponsorship records
in the 108 to see how much water this sieve holds...

The Mighty 108th:
Zell Miller (Republocrat): sponsored 40; 1 passed.
Mitch McConnell (Republican): sponsored 55; 5 passed.
Orrin Hatch (Republican): sponsored 109; 7 passed.

And look at the hard-hitting legislation that was involved:

Mr. Miller:
S.RES.232 : A resolution expressing the condolences of the Senate upon
the death on September 3, 2003, of the late General Raymond G. Davis
(United States Marine Corps, retired) and expressing the appreciation
and admiration of the Senate for the unwavering commitment demonstrated
by General Davis to his family, the Marine Corps, and the Nation.

Mr.McConnell:
S.RES.100 : A resolution recognizing the 100th anniversary year of the
founding of the Ford Motor Company, which has been a significant part of
the social, economic, and cultural heritage of the United States and
many other nations, and a revolutionary industrial and global
institution, and congratulating Ford Motor Company for its achievements.

S.RES.121 : A resolution honoring the life of Washington Post columnist
and Atlantic Monthly editor Michael Kelly, and expressing the deepest
condolences of the Senate to his family on his death.

S.RES.147 : A resolution to authorize representation by the Senate Legal
Counsel in the case of John Jenkel v. Bill Frist.

S.RES.172 : A resolution honoring the life of media reporting giant
David Brinkley, and expressing the deepest condolences of the Senate to
his family on his death.

S.1215 : A bill to sanction the ruling Burmese military junta, to
strengthen Burma's democratic forces and support and recognize the
National League of Democracy as the legitimate representative of the
Burmese people, and for other purposes.

Senator Hatch:
S.RES.49 : A resolution designating February 11, 2003, as "National
Inventors' Day".

S.RES.88 : A resolution honoring the 80th birthday of James L. Buckley,
former United States Senator for the state of New York.

S.RES.111 : A resolution designating April 30, 2003, as "Dia de los
Ninos: Celebrating Young Americans", and for other purposes.

S.RES.174 : A resolution designating Thursday, November 20, 2003,
as "Feed America Thursday".

S.RES.175 : A resolution designating the month of October 2003,
as "Family History Month".

S.RES.210 : A resolution expressing the sense of the Senate that
supporting a balance between work and personal life is in the best
interest of national worker productivity, and that the President should
issue a proclamation designating October of 2003 as "National Work and
Family Month".

S.RES.342 : A resolution designating April 30, 2004, as "Dia de los
Ninos: Celebrating Young Americans", and for other purposes.
