Oh please. Politicians are easy targets. But there are others :-)

I find this to be a general human condition practiced my all sorts
of people in all sorts of occupations facing career ending/altering
circumstances. Whenever money is involved you can be sure there will
be all sorts of strange choices being made. Self preservation isn't
the sole domain of the politician!

Maybe I'm a little cynical, but regardless of belief system (of which
'none' is one), party affiliation, liberal/conservative there seems
to be an overal decline in ethical and moral behavior.

And I would be the first to admit that I find myself succumbing to the
same declining behavior patterns as seems to be more the norm these days.

Oops. Sorry for interjecting a little 'honesty' into the discussion :-)
