This may be an opportune moment to insert a small <plug-alert>:

I have written a low-overhead HP3000 command logging utility.
The utility can log all commands input by any user at the CI,
or inside any program, into protected log files.  User input is
logged together with whatever prompt was displayed (to
identify the context),  and the current timestamp.

Logging does not require making any changes to the CI or
applications, and is not apparent to end-users.

The utility is currently used by one client to fulfill local auditing
requirements; anyone interested in purchasing copies is invited
to contact me.
