John, your ire is completely misplaced. You will notice that the two
political OT threads running today were started by Wirt Atmar and John
Dunlop.

I do not remember when I last started a political OT thread. I do not
remember when Shawn started one either. Come to think of it, I do not
remember when Brice started one. On the other hand, I can point to
multiple political OT threads started by Wirt Atmar, Herr Baier, John
Dunlop and many others. It seems these threads are invariably started
by left-leaning (falling) individuals. It is usually stated as an
attack on either the US, the president, the military of the government
in general.

I do participate, when time permits, in these threads but I rarely, if
ever, start them. I especially try to participate when my name is
mentioned.

Ciao,

Denys

Spoken like a true unabashed intolerant bigot. Something we are getting
used to on this list. It would be nice if this list could return to
being a true list for finding information instead of the way that people
like Brice, Denys, and yourself have had it sink to. All of you should
really be ashamed. I leave the list with no regrets. Here's hoping the
list will one day be a helpful one, and not this kind of nonsense.

further illustrating your uninformaed and myopic view of the world,
politics and the US in general. Not sure why you would bother to come
across the pond to this den of morons instead of staying in jolly old
england and waiting in line to get a physical while discussing the
subtleties of the Sudanese atrocities or something.

Bush is one of the most educated people to hold the office, lame
comments
like he is stupid are just that, lame because it illustrates once again
a
complete disinterest in facts.

Denys goes to painstaking lengths to provide as much detail as possible
to
back up every position he takes, and typically the response is along the
lines of "Oh yea? well I find that hard to believe" as opposed to
getting
educated.

I happen to enjoy lobbing one liners most of the time as opposed to
going
to the same lengths that Denys does, but I really enjoy reading what he
provides. As Denys eloquently stated earlier, he's a conservative and
whoever best represents that is who he votes for. I'm of the same
persuasion, I border on being an anarchist, and I more agree with
Libertarians in most ways, but the Democrats have turned in to total
hand
wringing socialists from when I was a young man. I'm a very black and
white kind of guy, I'm not in to all these shades of grey and nuances
that
people like Kerry are in to. What I observe from people like that is
that
they never actually answer anything, they simply move on to another
attack
or utter mindless platitudes like "I would do the same thing, but I'd do
it
better".
