I think all these servers still provide power when plugged in
so you can use the management access.

Sidebar: On the rx2600 systems we have you can even remotely monitor
the lights and power on/off since as long as they are plugged in there
is power to the management board.

And you can even power it off and back on remotely using GSP>PS
command...

==================
For the record and for those who may own A-class boxes in the future:

The power switch on the back of the A units turns the unit off
completely, including the GSP. Using the GSP command to power off the
unit DOES NOT completely turn off the power to the entire box - only to
everything EXCEPT the GSP - otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the
GSP to power on the unit later....

If you're going to want to power off the unit completely then use the
GSP command to power down the computer (A class 3000 or 9000) and then
push the white button at the back to turn off power to the GSP and the
entire unit as well. The maintenance manuals say this is the only way
to be sure you've powered down the unit in preparation for circuit card
additions or removals, disc addition or replacement, etc. As an extra
measure of safety, remove the power cord.
