I have to evaluate what my programmer should be earning.

She does:
- SPL programming, Powerhouse programming,
- Linux server installation,
- program development, testing/debugging,
- database manipulation.
- accounting verification of billing statements and collection account balances (strong accounting and mathematical skills).
- interpret/read ascii/ebcdic tape data.
- oversees overall database integrity of over 30 million files.
- assists as a computer operator of daily batch processes of two HP3000 mainframes.
- data entry and data entry supervision.
- lan network support.
She has over 13 years experience in this field and 25 years overall in programming. She is also familiar with some C++ programming and other operating systems such as Windows XP (and software tools such as Excel, Quattro Pro, Word Perfect, etc..).

- job requires about 37 hours/week and occasional overtime in weekends and evening when new programs are implemented or a system is down.

Could someone in a similar position give a ball park figure of what the annual or hourly rate should be.

Thanks for your feedback.

Sincerely,

Jean Huot
