Hi All :)
Ok... We have Rogue Ales here in Oregon... Shiner Bock for Texas...
Washington, of course, has the Artesian's Olympia... D.C. has the Capital
Brewery (can't remember the actual name) but they have an awesome Porter...
and a great Amber Ale.... Alaska Ales has their Oatmeal Stout ... Hawii has
several ales and lagers that are now sold on the mainland...

Oregon also, has the Widmer Brothers.... they do quite a few different
ones but are best known for their Hefeweisen ... and we have Full Sail Ales
that does a simply wonderful Barley wine... called 'Old Board Head" Anyone
able to guess where in Oregon they are located... no fair using the 'Net!

Portland has the Blue Heron which is an ale that is quite good... that
is brewed by Bridgeport Brewery... who also does a new one called Ropewalk
to honor their 20 year anniversary...We used to have Henry's Private
Reserve which is a classic Lager... but it moved away :( Grew up drinking
Henry's!

We also have McMenimans (sp) who do Hammerhead, and Terminator (these
ain't no watered down Rockie Mt P**s water beers!)

Art "who really really needs a beer aftre this week! " Bahrs

You seem to be stuck on those watered down American breweries. Here in
Canada we've got L, M, N, and O covered with Labatts, Molson, Northern, and
Okanagan.

| I was interested to learn that 1984 was little more than a metaphor for
| Orwell's own time. He wrote his book in 1948, and simply switched the two
| numbers.
|
| I have this friend, let's call him Gerg Stigres, who thinks "Brave New
| World" was much closer to the truth than Orwell ever got. Fortunately, we
| have the fine products of Anheiser-Bush, Budweiser, and Coors to take our
| minds off of, well... I can't think of anything right now, except I
wonder
| if there is a brewery for every letter of the alphabet? And are there
more
| letters in the alphabet than there will be OT: posts attempting to answer
| that?
