I remember a problem similar to this at Denkor several years back...
check the archives for similar messages from me... and the responses... I

all know about my memory! hehe

sorry about the typing ... I messed up a hand!

logon as operator.sys or manager.sys and do this

file x=$null
store @.MAILTOGO.COMPL;*x;purge

This will rid the system of the files...

What you are doing is storing to nothing then purging them

One note here, if you did a listf @.MAILTOGO.COMPL,8 is there anyone using
them?

I have three files on our development server that I can't get rid of. I
can listf them, but if I attempt to purge them, or listf the files with ",2
or ,3 etc parameters" or even store/purge the file I generate various
errors. (Purgegroup also fails too).

Is there a low-level utility I can use to purge these files ?
