Curtis,

To clarify what Joe and Paul said, try looking at the following documents
on HP's
ITRC..

Reloading a MPE/iX system, ID: MPEKBRC00005590, and rebuilding a user
volume
set, ID MPEOSKBRC00000880.

Joe, Paul, and I have done this before here at HNS. Be very careful in
your disc space
calculations before you move physical disc labels and make DAMN sure you
have good
backups of your data. You should also consider, just moving accounts
first before
resorting to moving the physical disks between volume sets. Thanks to
Donna, at Longs for that
idea.

Hmmm....A couple of furthur thoughts on Joe's solution.

The Scratchvol command within Volutil is specific to a ldev so the syntax
is

Scratchvol 63      (as an example)

Once this is done the disc drive is now available to be moved to another
volume.

Do a VSOPEN volumename to remount the volume set and make it available
again

Restore the data from your tape.

Then add the disc drive to the volume that needs space using the Newvol
command within Volutil

Syntax
NEWVOL  VNAME=  sname:vname
LDEV= ldev
PERM= percentperm
TRANS= percenttrans
CLASSES= (cname[[,,cname]...])

Be darn careful to do your homework to ensure you still have enough space
to restore your data.
