Hire a consultant!
You cannot steal from peter to pay paul.
you can however remove a volume_set from your system and make it two volumes.
mpexl_system_volume_set AND another_set_name
to accomplish this you must store off one of the two private volumes.
NOTE: you want to make sure that any of the accounts do not have groups built on the system volume or you would have to move them first.
to find out you must do the report command again as follows
report @.accountname;onvs=mpexl_system_volume_set
do the above for every account from the private volume
create a job
!job storvol,manager.sys
!file t;dev=tape
!store @[log in to unmask]@;directory;onvs=volume_set_you_want_stored;show=long;&
!progress=1
!tellop job storvol complete
!eoj
Run buldacct.pub.sys to include all the volumes from the volume you want to close.
check your listing and match it up to a list of the accounts from the volume to be scratched.
report @.@;onvs=onvs=volume_set_you_want_stored
once you have the files verified on tape
vstore *t;@[log in to unmask]@ may be done to ensure that you have a valid tape
then
vsclose volume_set_you_want_stored
:VOLUTIL
Scratch volume_set_you_want_stored
EXIT
this will eliminate the volume
