Actually, probably, not. I've worked in SEVERAL HP shops where we invited
IBM'rs with good COBOL experience and they had not TOO much trouble--except
when they tried to get a job in an IBM shop again.
Those IBM'rs are SO prejudiced against NON-IBM hardware--evidently coding on
another platform gives you cooties. -- or *codies*. Or something.

The contract position for a short term EDI contract I posted Friday,
Jun 25, has been filled. I'm sorry to say that it was not filled by one of
the many very qualified people from the list, but rather, by 2 local people
(and one of these has never worked on an hp before!!).
