I linked to the other paper, not because of its intent but rather as
another example of how science is under the control of an establishment.
I was a little uncomfortable linking to it because of the bits about
God, as you might have noticed I NEVER get involved in religious
arguments, that's a credo of mine. :-) I consider religion to be far
too personal.
Do you read the material you recommend? This second paper was a long
complaint by a person who is arguing that he can't get his papers published in the
mainstream literature because he is attempting to prove the existence of God
through physics. In it, he writes:
"Not once in the entire book do I use anything but the known physical laws,
the laws of physics that are in all the textbooks, and which agree with all
experiments conducted to date. Unfortunately, in the book I gave reasons for
believing that the final state of the universe—a state outside of space and time,
and not material—should be identified with the
Judeo-Christian God. (It would take a book to explain why!)"
Further, his "article" was published by a "journal" established by the
Discovery Institute, an organization that, as I said before, is dedicated towards
introducing the teaching of theistic evolution in schools and textbooks -- as
science, but separate from (and ideally replacing) the godless science that's
now being taught.
If this isn't religion, I don't know what is.
