Denys --
Both the joke (which was great!) and the luncheon message came through to
me. I'd really hate to see you go!

Subject: [HP3000-L] All good things must come to an end...
The first time I subscribed to HP3000-L predates the archives stored at
raven.utc.edu. It was sometime in 1994, IIRC. Since that time, I have
posted countless times, answering questions about the 3000 and its
environment. I posted numerous times about Windows 95 then Windows NT,
2000 and XP and how to use them with the 3000.
I answered countless questions about tape drives, SCSI devices, DLT DDS,
and robotic devices on the 3000. I organized and hosted 6 or 7 HP3000-L
luncheons at various HP World conferences.
I also participated in various OT threads, some political, some
historical and other more esoteric ones.
Lately I discussed SAN, Wireless and even started conversing about the
future of computing with PCI-Express and other upcoming standards.
Today, I got a message from HP3000-L that it was holding a message I
posted containing a joke. Then I got another message that HP3000-L was
restricting a message I posted about the HP3000-L luncheon I was trying
to organize at HP World 2004.
This indicates to me that it is time for me to leave HP3000-L. I will
not put up with censorship.
I hope to see you all at HP World in Chicago.
Farewell HP3000-L.
Denys
