In all seriousness the iSeries (AS/400) has, at a minimum, all of the
qualities that has made the HP 3000 successful. This includes low cost to
own and operate, built in RDBMS, batch and spooling capability, etc.
However, it goes way beyond where the 3000 went in terms of modern features.

We are working with one other company that is moving from the 3000 to the
iSeries and another one is considering it as well. We work with various
*nixes (AIX, Linux, HP-UX) and Windows as migration targets. In my opinion,
the iSeries has a lot to offer a company that values the features of the HP
3000.
