The Employee Relations Committee is pleased to provide the following
information to UTC faculty and staff.
The Birmingham Museum of Art announces the first comprehensive exhibition
of Kamisaka Sekka. Sekka (1866-1942) is considered one of the greatest
Japanese artists of the first half of the twentieth century. The
exhibition will include paintings, prints, lacquers, furniture, ceramics
and textiles borrowed from 39 private collectors and 29 museums and
foundations in Japan, the U.S., France and Germany. The exhibition will be
in two rotations -- May 23-June 27 -- and -- June 30-August 1.
