Thanks to Nancy Owens for clearing up a matter regarding the CPS Exam - the 9% pay increase is earned, regardless if it takes you more than one attempt at the exam.  Please see the policy regarding it below.  Thanks for everyone's response to the email regarding the meeting on April 30!

SECTION 400
Policy 465 states:

Objective:
To reward regular, staff non-exempt employees who pass the Certified
Professional Secretary Examination.
Policy:
Regular, staff non-exempt employees who perform clerical- secretarial or
clerical-management duties and who pass the Certified Professional
Secretary Examination shall be granted a nine percent (9%) increase in
salary effective the first day of the month following receipt of official
notice of the certification by the Personnel Office.

When Human Resources receives notice of passing/certification, regardless
of how many times the person was tested, a pay increase is generated.
