A small group of musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra will
perform in Chattanooga this Thursday April 22, at 7 p.m., at First Baptist
Church (in the Chapel), 401 Gateway Drive. This performance is a part of a
statewide residency tour, in which NSO members will perform and conduct
workshops at nearly 150 venues in Tennessee.
The program will include Mozart's String Quartet No. 15 in d minor;
Mozart's Quintet in A Major for Clarinet and strings; and Victor Herbert's
"Indian Summer: An American Idyll."
While in Chattanooga, these musicians will also work with and perform for
students in area schools.
Admission to the Thursday evening concert is $20 for adults and $15 for
students; tickets may be purchased through the Chattanooga Symphony, 630
Chestnut Street, or call 267-8583.
