We recently went over to a new Private IP network (10days ago), everything
seemed ok until today.
Terminals are reflections connected. Going over to this net , some Win98
based terminals hung when being sent any volume of data. We used
DRTCP021.exe to reduce MTU to 1400, they worked ok. Mix of HP1200,2200,2300,
LJ5 printers, ok. Some sites 2000miles away from home.

Today, 1 pc started hanging in reflections. Turned out it had not done this
before, and therefore DRTCP was not run. All of a sudden , now it needs to
be run. OK now.
Same site, LJ5 wont print. A 1200 and a 2200 are running fine. Tried
everything I can think of in NPCONFIG , no use. Spooler reported 'power
failure or other interruption', 'remote termination', 'already open socket,
will close and try again' etc. First spool file sits in print state,
sometimes prints half a page, but never completes. Tried moving the file
lower down in priority, doesnt help. Lengthening the timeouts and poll_max
changes the error messages, but thats all. I can ping it ok, I can connect
to it with web browser fine.
A few hours later another site, closer to home, but in same state, reports
similar events with a hp2300 - wont print, cant make it.
Network provider of course says 'Nothing starnge happening here, must be
you'.
heres output from linkcontrol

The only thing that strikes me is 'Recv Dropped addr 14104417' does this
mean anything useful?

TIA,
