depends.

do you have dedicated relay host in your LAN ? Then you may want to use
this.

But the main problem seems to be the wrong access rights for
/etc/mail/aliases for sendmail user.
The owner should be SERVER.SENDMAIL, mod 644.

We want to mail from an mpe-user to an address in our lan-network.
I think I have to update the aliases database map but I don't have much
success with it.

In /etc/mail/aliases : ELSA.LANNOO: [log in to unmask] (under user
manager.sys)

Then I want to run the newaliases-command but I get the following error.
(under user server.sendmail)

shell/iX> newaliases
newaliases: cannot open /etc/mail/aliases: Permission denied
shell/iX>

Is this the right way to get connection with our lan-email-network ?
