Subject: SIB 2004 - If you do not vote, you have no right to complain!
Date: Mon, 8 Mar 2004 21:44:50 +0000

Got your attention? I hope so. vCSY came to the MPE Forum saying it had some
engineering time available and would like another SIB run to determine how
to best use this available time. The result of this collaboration is now up
at www.interex.org/advocacy/survey/mpesib04.html. Voting is open until the
end of the day on March 12, 2004. You do not have to be a member of Interex
or OpenMPE to vote.

The ballot is split into two parts this year. The first ballot is for
Strategic items, i.e. items that require little in engineering resources but
require strategic business decisions on HP's part. The second ballot
contains more traditional SIB requests geared towards helping homesteaders
and others likely to remain on the HP e3000 past end of support, December
31, 2006.

Even if you do not expect to still be using an HP e3000 post 2006, you owe
it to the community to give of your opinion on these important issues.

This could very well be your last opportunity to influence via the ballot
what happens with MPE. Everyone on this list has an opinion about MPE-IMAGE
and the HP e3000. Take the ten minutes to vote. The next time you complain
about something HP is or is not doing, you'll want to be able to say "I
voted for (or against) this on the 2004 SIB."
