Hi Mika,

Up-front,  I want to establish that I was only ribbing JM :-) In fact, there
aren't many incompetent armies anymore, but even in 1942 the US armed forces
were very close to incommpetence themselves, as even a casual study of the
North Africa campaign (which I happen to currently be conducting!) will
reveal. I presume that is what you are referring to.
