As I'm fairly certain that 3000-L doesn't forward attachments anyway,
you are highly unlikely to get a virus on an email posted via 3000-L,
this also applies to any posted to the list from comp.sys.hp.mpe.

I for one would no longer subscribe if this was done, I rely on being
able to read 3000-L as a news group, as I can do so as and when I like
without being inundated with emails. It is also a far superior way to
view threads and postings.

This would be useful if could be done automatically.

Whilst this would be a laudable thing, I'm afraid there are several list
