Note: this is NOT a stand-alone hand-held GPS receiver - it plugs into a
computer (e.g. laptop) by a USB connector, and displays your current
position, speed, direction, etc. on a map on the computer screen.  You can
also download (free) software to use it with scanned-in maps.  The receiver
can be also be used with a Palm or Pocket PC device, but you need to buy an
(expensive) cable and use different software.
