You bet it does. IT folks in the USA have been getting overpaid for years
and
now their income is drying up since the introduction of the Internet, 4th
g/l
pc programming etc etc and the demise of the best computer system EVER (yes,
that's the HP3000).

However, I certainly would not give any company 40+ hours a week of my
precious time working like a dog getting programming projects out the door
for a
miserable $7.50 an hour.
It won't happen. I'll be bagging groceries at the local supermarket before I
work an IT job for that ridiculous salary.
