 My perception is different..

Well in America, the consumer buys product and thinks that just
because (s)he has brought a product, the entire company ought to give
him support. Sometimes even the Americans who are answering the calls
get ticked off ( So do the Indians ) { I heard about it - I don't work
in / manage a call centre }. Where is the value addition here ? The
Call Center Rep in US can't do anything because it is consumer who
acts like a pest.

Another View.. What happened in Iraq ? American Soldiers are
sacrificing lives.. At this moment everyone in America is concerned
about the deaths happening... Also India has refused to send the
troups because there is risk involved...

What if now America comes out with Green Cards/Immigration for Indians
who join American Forces to fight their enemies outside their
borders.. Will there be hue and Cry ?

What India has is :

a) Hard Working English Speaking( Better than China in Spoken English)
Intellectuals in Technical Area who usually work 12 hours a day with
better productivity and lower wages.. If such a American Worker is
there in America, he would be definitely promoted ( sometimes have
double promotion ) and grow up fast in organization.. The fact that
Americans enjoy life equally and want to maintain that standard in the
globally competitive changing scenario, means they have to find means
to create value in organization.. Outsourcing is one of the option and
the easiest one

b) Manpower who cherish American Dream - India sees America as a dream
place to work maybe not just because of economy but because your laws,
regulations, facilities that a comman man enjoys, non corrupt
offcials, transparency in system, equal opportunity for all.. Which is
not the case in India and it is getting worse here...

America & Australia & Canada is capitulating on it and India is seeing
a Brain Drain currently... Good For America, Good for Good Indians

D-Link may be one of the case but if it would have been so bad here,
the outsourcing would not have happened and would not be happening at
a faster pace as it seems now..
