Fred,

you are lucky. In Germany they run forever. Kohl was in office for 16yrs
and during the last 8yrs he lied on a daily bases.
That was when the re-union with "east germany" was free of additional taxes.
Still today there is a "solidaritätsbeitrag" 10% then now around 7% on top
of your income tax.
The retirementfunds and healthcare are bankrupt because of that.
20 million people that never paid a dime are intitled for benefits.

We know how expensive Iraq will be. We had East-germany
